To cultivate poise, peace and presence into you daily life, you must practice daily. Create a routine that brings you into the moment of quiet reflection. Spray an herbal essence to enlighten the room, light a few candles to create a glow to remind you of the flame within you, play music that will gently give you refuge you from distracting sounds.
Roll out your mat and sit cross-legged as you connect with your breath. Inhale Shakti, exhale Shiva. Inhale Shakti, exhale Shiva bringing your consciousness to your heart center on the exhale.
Close your eyes and allow your thoughts to float by, being fully present in the moment. Feel Mother Earth under you, giving you support. Inhale Shakti, exhale Shiva.
Continue to bring your consciousness in as you repeat your Mantra, or simply reflect silently on the powerful OM. As you repeat your mantra, know your body is a temple of the spirit and you are one with the universal divine.
Even if you can give yourself the gift of five minutes of meditation each morning, you will bring substantial contentment to the rest of your day.
